Cone Flowers

Two lovely cards this week using a Woodware clear stamp - Cone Flowers and a Creative Expressions Embossing Folder - Cross Stitch. The embossing folder was used in  to give two different effects.By placing the backing paper in the embossing folder square then you obtain a diamond effect , but by turning the backing paper and laying it over the square diagonally then you obtain blocks of embossed squares.

The other card is a gatefold with a stamped topper.
We used Distress Ink - Frayed Burlap to ink the edges of the card before layering with patterned paper to create the side panels of the gatefold. One of the panels was trimmed with seam binding and three Card Candi was added
.
The topper was stamped and coloured with Distress Inks - Frayed Burlap , Mustard Seed and Peeled Paint. On a second stamped image only the Flower heads were coloured , cut out and decoupaged on the first image. The topper was glued to the the left hand side of the gatefold card. Finally trim with a bow tied out of Seam binding.

This shows a closer image of the decoupaged flower heads giving depth to the card.

The products used were
Stamp set - Cone Flowers ( JGS444)
Embossing Folder - Cross Stitch (EFPP-006)
