Jubilee

Celebrations

Today was all about celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee (a little early, we know!). In the workshop the ladies made a commemorative calendar and note holder to use through out the year (centre of image), Yvonne also hand made a little goodie bag for everyone with a beautifully crafted commemorative plaque. Take a look through the pictures to see the fun we had.

To make the decorative hanging notes and calendar piece, the ladies cut the chipboard to size and then applied gesso to the edging, once the gesso was dry they then paint over in the desired colour. It was then time to apply the decorative dotty paper to the chipboard, making sure to attach the ribbon underneath the paper before sticking to allow a neat finish. Then it was simply a case of decorating by adding the die cuts, calendar and creating the notes pocket, finishing off with embellishments.
