 This weeks workshop;

Distressed! 

Todays techniques included lots of blending to create those graded or merged coloured backgrounds, achieved using the Distress Inks and blending brushes. 

This beautiful blending technique has been achieved using a mixture of three or four distress inks, apply the first colour to the base of the card using a blending brush or smoothie. Apply the next colour but blend the colours together moving up the card . Apply the other colours in the same way, then to finish of the look, a spritz of water was applied and left to dry to create a  natural specked effect. 

The two cards have been stamped and trimmed with ribbon. The third card has stamped  panels so the blended backgrounds have been stamped and embossed .Highlights have been added to the stamped image so they pop.

In this workshop our customers learnt how to construct a decorate a Waterfall Folio Album, the techniques learned in the workshop can be reapplied to other albums, there is no limit to your creation from there on!

 This weeks workshop;

On the Edge 

The ladies enjoyed making three different cards created with Edger dies. Edger dies can be used in a multitude off ways, not simply just the edge! 

To start the cards, the ladies first had to get messy and create two of those lovely backgrounds using pixie powders. It was then onto the other background (middle card) which was achieved by blending several Distress Inks onto the card, which were finished of by taking a mask to the cards and using a baby wipe to take off the ink in areas. 

For the first two cards it was then onto, die cutting the seahorse edger and then assembling the different layers. The first card also incorporated a embossed background to add extra texture. 

For the third card a bit more work was required as the edger die was cut from a piece of white card, therefore to achieve the vibrant colours the card was then coloured, using the pixie powder with water to make a paint. A sentiment stamp was also added to finished off the card design.

Canvas Cards 

The ladies were kept busy using the many various techniques in todays class. We had stamping, heat embossing colouring with Distress inks, embossing, die cutting and pixie powder backgrounds.

Although there where many techniques used, they blended together nicely to create these beautifully elegant cards.
