This weeks workshop;

Floribunda 

 

The ladies created these three simple yet very elegant cards today. Each card has been embossed to give a nice dimension to the backing card, a smidge of colour was then blended over the top of the card with ink using a smoothie or blending brush, raising the emboss design. A stamped and embossed image was coloured using Distress Inks to create a topper  using Sue Wilson coordinating dies and stamps. Of course the cards were given a little ribbon and embellishments to finish them off. No card is complete without a bit of bling. 

 Although they look sophisticatedly simple, there are a lots of different techniques used to produce these cards.

This weeks workshop;

Mini Album

The ladies started off by constructing the back bones of the Mini Album from grey board. Which were then adhered to a sheet of white card to connect them together. It was then onto constructing the insides of the album, this was done using white card glued together to make  concertina fold out pages. From there on it was all about covering all the blank pages with some beautiful Paper Boutique pattered paper. There where no scraps in sight as these where used to create inserts, tags, etc. 

 

These mini alums are a wonderful gift idea, why not give it a go and create a album to be remembered.

Stencil Mania  

Never to be under looked are the many different ways in which a stencil can be used and as such the versatility of design they create, which have been demonstrated through this weeks workshop. 

 

Each card has a unique stencilled background, simply apply your stencil on top of the card and then get blending, using either a smoothie or blending brushes or any desired ink pad which is suitable for blending. You can even go wild and mix it up with your colours.

 Just experiment and see what happens!  

On some machines your stencils can even be used to create an embossed effect.

 These backgrounds where then finished off with a stamp of your choice and a little sentiment stamp too.

 This weeks workshop; 

Mad Hare  

With such an adorable napkin design, Yvonne found three different ways in which to show of this cute Hare. Who wouldn't want to receive one of these cards!.    

 

Each card features the Hare design from a napkin, 4 designs have been adhered to plain white card, using a glue stick. Using these toppers as feature points, they have been die-cut, trimmed around or simply framed. 

These cards are nice and simple to create but incorporate different layers to best show of the napkin design.
