Come and join us at our showroom in Kimbolton where Julia Watts will doing a demonstration using Phill Martin's Frosty Colours, Frosty Paper Pad and new Christmas Stamps.

She will also be using Spellbinders new Christmas Dies to show you how to create beautiful Christmas cards and hopefully give you some inspiration!

Refreshments will be included so feel free to stay for as little or as long as you wish, have a cup of tea and learn how to create beautiful Christmas cards.

3D Christmas Cards...

3D Christmas Cards.....


This weeks Workshop '3D Christmas Cards' was inspired by two dies new to our website this week. These dies are easy to use and make wonderfully different cards. Something fun for the festive season! 

These dies are great for creating unusual Christmas cards but can also be used for everyday cards as well. The dies come with everything you need to create the whole card. Just decorate as you like, according to the occasion. 



The first card was made using the Circular Die: 

The second was created using the Oval Die:

All the embellishments on the card (apart from the 'Merry Christmas' sentiment and the 'Poinsettia' Stamp) were included in the die set. 

The 'Merry Christmas' ( Set of 2 ) sentiment, is a Cheery Lynn Die (CT- B186) and the Poinsettias were 'Sue Wilson Stamps To Die For Festive - Shaded Poinsettia'.

Holly Christmas...

Holly Christmas.....

In our most recent workshop, 'Holly Christmas', our Ladies and Gentlemen made two beautiful holly inspired Christmas cards. 

Both of the cards were made using Sue Wilson's new 'Christmas Die - Holly Mini Striplet' - ( CE-CED3039). 

To create the beautiful backgrounds, they used two different Embossing Folders. The first was 'Creative Expressions 5 3/4" x 7 1/2" Embossing Folder - Frosty Swirls' - (CE-EF-047). 

The second was 'Creative Expressions A4 Embossing Folder- Swirling Holly' - (CE-EF-023). 

On both of the cards, they dyed the Seam-binding using Tim Holtz Distress Inks, in colours 'Peeled Paint' and 'Fired Brick'. On the first card the 'Peeled Paint' ink pad was also used to colour the edges of their embossed backgrounds. Just giving the card a subtle hint of the colour of the bow. 

A Cheery Lynn die was used for the wording on the first card. 'Cheery Lynn Design Die - Merry Christmas (set of 2) - (CT-B186). 

Mark Richards Nail Heads were used to decorate the Striplet in colour - Cranberry.

Holly Wreath...

Holly Wreath....


Our workshop this week was called 'Holly Wreath'. The ladies made two lots of matching Notelets and a matching Notelet/Treat Box.

The stamp used to create the Notelets and Box was 'Creative Expressions' Festive Wreath Set 3 Pre CUt Stamps' - (CE-UMS165). The wreath stamp is 90mm in diameter. 

Gold Mirri Card was used for layering and Hemp Cord was used to create the bow. 

The snowflake was a die taken from a 'New Release  - Spellbinders Christmas Die'. To view the new Spellbinders Christmas Dies, please click the button below:

To finish, the ladies embellished the holly wreath stamp with 'Papermania 2mm Adhesive Stones - Gold' - (DO-PMA 351624).

HOLLY TREE

This week , our ladies made their first Christmas cards ready for the Festive Season.


Our cards were inspired by the New clear stamp set from Woodware and a range of Dies from Sue Wilson.The perfect way to start your Christmas Cards.

The products used were 

Woodware Clear Stamp set - Holly Tree (jgs418)

Sue Wilson Die - Gemini Pavo (CED4409)

Sue Wilson Die - Configuration Elegant Laced Edger (CED6401)

The stamped images were heat embossed and then Cosmic shimmer Mica Powers were used to colour in images.If you have not used Mica Powder as paints before all you need to do is take a small amount of mica powder ,placed on a piece of acetate or craft sheet and mix with water .The mica powders create a wonder shimmer effect.

This week, our Ladies created Autumnal themed cards in our Workshop 'A Taste of Autumn'.

Our cards were inspired by traditional autumnal colours and themes, put together to create two beautiful cards, perfect for this time of year.

The Stamp Set used was Creative Expressions' Autumn Blessings....

The stamps were used with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder to give the background and other elements to the card texture and dimension.



Cosmic Shimmer's Colour Cloud was used as well.
'Jade Forest' and 'Chic Pumpkin' were the colours chosen to create various parts of the background, as well as the Die-cut Flags.
