Christmas Bird

We are starting to make Christmas Cards in our workshops.

 It is less than 100 days to the big day.

This is an A5 card ,two Woodware clear stamps were used - Bubble Snow Flower  which is great for using Card Candi and Christmas Bird which has been coloured using Distress Inks.The Bauble has been stamped onto Silk Polished Glitter.Snowflake charms add that finishing touch.

An easel card using the Christmas Bird,again Silk Polished Glitter has been used for the bauble.

Saturated Canary - Balloon Wishes

We made these cards using the Little Darlings Saturated Canary stamps with young girls in mind.There are many designs in the range.Here we have used Balloon Wishes (LD5038).

A selection of backing card and papers have been layered and punched.The picket fence has been made using strips of white card (2 x strips 14.5cm x 1cm and 10 x strips 4cm x 1cm,cut points on one end of strips)

The flower embellishment is made by punching 7 scalloped circles(4 x medium and 3 x small),pierce a hole in each circle in the centre , layer together and join with a brad,spray each layer and scrunch up tightly.

Unfold each layer gently and leave to dry.

We have Tracey Laughton from Creative Expressions ,who will be taking the class.

You will create two projects, a Table Decoration and a Card with a Christmas theme.

The table decoration when decorated with different embellishments is ideal for other occasions.

   

Techniques covered:-
* Embossing using embossing folders
* 3D Card construction
* Stamping with Perfect Medium ink pad and Heat Embossing

* Die-cutting with dies and matching stamp sets

Bird Frame

Another busy workshop this week,the ladies had a wonderful time creating two cards using the Stampendous Cling stamp - Bird Frame.

One is an A5 size card and we used shades of Blue and Brown.The swirls on the background which are very hard to see,were stamped using a perfect medium stamp pad and then dusted with Mica powders to add that extra sheen.

On the square card ,we created an enameled effect topper .We heat embossed a stamped image which we punch out with a Scalloped Circle punch.Three layers of clear embossing powder were applied to create the effect.The flower embellishment was created by die-cutting layers from the Lea'bilities die -Multi die Flower.
