Floating Strip Cards

Floating strip cards are the perfect way of using up all the scraps and odd strips of card we all have lying around in our craft rooms.

Strips of plain or patterned card or paper are glued to acetate leaving a small even gap between each strip. Once dry, then die-cut to create your topper which can be used on your cards or other craft projects.

 These useful stencils are ideal for cards, scrapbook pages or even for fabric! Would look great with paste or just coloured for a background. A great addition to your crafting stash. These stencil/mask are made from durable mylar and can be used with paint, ink, chalk, and of course the mica mists and are also a great addition to your die cutting embossing machine.

We used two Nellie Snellen Idyllic Scene stamps - Tree with Swing (IFS035)

and Stream with Bridge (IFS057).

The cards fold flat which is perfect for posting.

 The first workshop of 2023.....

Fun was had this morning using Nellie Snellen 3D embossing folders to create beautiful toppers .Different mediums were used including Distress inks as watercolours and for blending ,Metallic Watercolour paints which give a lovely shimmer and vibrant colour.

Why not create a different finish , use black card and blend with a metallic ink pad.
