Calendar for the New Year!!....

Calendar for the New Year!....

This weeks workshop was the final one for 2015! Each of our ladies created a beautiful calendar ready for the new year!

Our ladies covered the calendar in Craft Consortium decoupage paper - 'Vintage Butterfly Decoupage Paper', by tearing it into small pieces and randomly sticking it down using 'Cosmic Shimmer Matt Glue Seal and Glaze'. Ripping the paper before sticking it down, not only makes the decoupage paper easier to apply, it also gives the calendar a unique and professional finish.

The calendars were embellished with a variety of different die-cut pieces. A range of dies were use, from Cheery Lynn Designs to Sue Wilson, Spellbinders and more! The craft pins used on the calendar were Sue Wilson's and gave a touch of elegance and glamour.

To create the flower our ladies stamped and inked the paper and when dry, used a circle 1" punch and a second circle 2" punch to create petals. Then by folding them and putting them into position were the flowers brought to life.

As this was our last workshop of the year, we had Christmas lunch with our ladies after our workshop to celebrate the year and thank them for loyally attending every workshop!

We hope you enjoyed our Calendar from our final Workshop this year. We hope you all have a very happy and healthy Christmas and all the best for 2016!!

See you in the new year for more creations!

This weeks workshop had our Ladies concentrating. They covered MDF Letters with the beautiful Christmas Decoupage papers from Craft Consortium.

From this......

To this.....

The best way to cover the letters is to rip the decoupage paper into small squares (approx 1")
and then glue them to the letters using Cosmic Shimmer Glue , Seal and Glaze. The small pieces of paper will enable you to cover the awkward places on the letters with ease.
Leave the letters to dry and then embellish or leave plain ,your choice!

Why not try covering some letters yourself .It is fun and they make wonderful decorations.

Have Fun!

Baubles

This weeks workshop was the last one this year where our Ladies made Christmas cards.
The theme was Baubles - 3D and  Woven.

The star bauble was die-cut using a Marianne Craftable die.Four stars were cut, folded in half  and then glued back to back.

The bauble has been created by die-cutting a circle in the cardstock and weaving strips of ribbon behind. The front of the card is decorated with die cut sprigs of Holly and Ribbon to finish the effect.

Weaving Ribbon gives texture to your card
A sentiment can be added ,here we used the Sue Wilson Flag dies layered
